Everything you need to install, set up, and start building with the Wuppi theme and Wuppi Blocks plugin.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.5 or later
  • PHP 7.4 or later
  • A standard WordPress hosting environment

Wuppi is a Full Site Editing (FSE) theme. It requires the native WordPress block editor and is not compatible with classic themes or page builders.

Installing the Wuppi Theme

From WordPress admin (recommended)

  1. Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New
  2. Search for “Wuppi”
  3. Click Install, then Activate

Manual install

  1. Download the theme ZIP from wordpress.org/themes/wuppi
  2. Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme
  3. Upload the ZIP file and activate

Installing Wuppi Blocks

Wuppi Blocks is optional but recommended — it unlocks the Icon, Accordion, Testimonial, Icon List, and Notice blocks. It works with any FSE theme, not just Wuppi.

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for “Wuppi Blocks”
  3. Click Install, then Activate

First Setup

1. Choose a style variation

Go to Appearance → Editor, click the top-left site icon, and choose Styles. You’ll find 5 variations: Default, Shoji Warm, Nordic Dark, Forest Calm, and Slate Professional.

2. Start from a pattern

When creating a new page, click the + button and choose Patterns to browse the included layouts for hero sections, services, about sections, and CTAs.

3. Set your homepage

Go to Settings → Reading and set a static page as your homepage.

4. Configure the header

Header behavior (sticky, transparent) can be adjusted in Appearance → Editor → Template Parts → Header, or via Appearance → Wuppi Settings.
